We first met in 1981 at the then called Grampian hotel in Stevenage and I can remember asking her to dance and when we did the DJ put on a drum solo record (just as well I can't dance anyway) but the night moved on and I persuaded her to give me her phone number the only problem was I came down with a tummy bug and I did not get back to her for several days but eventually it did and arranged a date. I took her to a pig roast organised by the young farmers at HInxworth village the problem was I wasn't fully over my tummy bug so had to leave early I can remember coming away thinking she thinks I don't want to see her again I was cursing not feeling well that evening . But I need not have as I phoned her later in the week and we arranged another date and the rest is history as they say. that was 36 years ago seems like another life now loved you then as I love you now Jane (Bun)
